Young At Heart Activities
A new addition to this ministry is our times of fun and fellowship for those senior adults 60+. Each month, we enjoy a day trip somewhere in the OKC metro area! We usually try to fit in 2 very interesting points of interest and a great lunch! Come join us! We have lots of fun!
Young At Heart Senior Care
Quail Springs has a special ministry that is devoted to our seniors in an effort to �strengthen the feeble hands and steady the knees that give way.� Isaiah 35:3
This ministry offers members of our congregation the opportunity to share their love, friendship and family with the Special Seniors in our own church family by volunteering.
The Senior Care Program is not intended to label anyone as old. This program was created to assist those of our congregation who are going through hard times or difficult changes in their lives. Some examples are: a sudden onset of health problems, living alone for the first time, your spouse died and you do not drive, those who do not feel like getting out much, those who depend on others, those who were once a very active part of our church family but could use some assistance at this time, those family members who on occasion need respite services.
The desire of The Young At Heart Senior Care Program is to:
*Better identify seniors or families in need of our assistance or guidance
*Help those families who are in need of assistance, but do not feel they know who to turn to
*Establish a core of volunteers in practice, before there is ever a crisis.
*Provide each family in need with a volunteer (or volunteers, depending on each situation)
